William L. “Bill” Christopher, 69, of Cheat Lake, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born December 20, 1947 in Morgantown and spent his first 17 years in Pisgah, Preston County. He was a son of the late William E. and Betty Marie Harper Christopher.

Bill enlisted in the United States Navy in 1965 and received an honorable discharge in 1971. He then returned to Morgantown to spend the rest of his days.

Bill spent most of his life in the printing profession. He and his wife, Vickie (Moore), who he married in 1984, have owned Arrow Graphics and Printing in Westover since 1985.

He is survived by his wife Vickie of Morgantown, his daughters Billie Jo Rowan and husband Lee of Morgantown, and Katelin Lee Christopher of Morgantown; three grandchildren, John Paul Christopher II, Samantha and Addison Drake; sisters Catherine Anderson and husband Jesse of North Augusta, SC, Sandra Christopher of Pisgah, and Mary Grace Jordan of Pisgah; his brother, Edward “Paul” Christopher and wife Dotty of Morgantown, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Paul Christopher in 2004, his father in 1996, and his mother in 2014.

Friends may join the family to honor Bill’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown on Monday, August 14th from 4-8 PM and again on Tuesday, August 15th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM with Reverend David White officiating.

Following the funeral service, Bill’s wishes for cremation will be honored, and inurnment will be held at a later date in the Fairview Cemetery at Pisgah, WV.
