Harold Leroy Leach, age 84, of Morgantown died Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Mapleshire Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Morgantown following a long illness.
He was born December 10, 1934 in Morgantown, a son of the late George Melvin and Icie Pearl (Hamrick) Leach.
He retired from the steel mills, and also worked as a glass worker at Morgantown Glassware Guild. Harold enjoyed camping at Big Bear Lake, and antique cars.
Harold is survived by his son, Harold Leroy Leach, Jr. of Ohio; brothers James Leach of Morgantown, Kenneth Leach of Smyrna, DE, and a sister, Emma McCord of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Leach on October 18, 2012, seven brothers and seven sisters.
Friends may join the family to honor Harold’s life and legacy at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Rd., Morgantown on Tuesday, November 12th from 11 AM – 12 Noon. Immediately following the visitation, a graveside committal service will be held at the church cemetery officiated by Pastor Barbara Hamrick.
