Jerry Lee Jarrell, age 77, of Charleston, WV and formerly of Daytona Beach, FL passed away early Monday morning, January 21, 2019 at Mapleshire Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Morgantown following a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.

Jerry was born September 6, 1941 in Whitesville, WV, a son of the late Ira Basil and Inez (Blevins) Jarrell.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years Judith Ann Williamson Jarrell, son Terry Lee Jarrell and his fiance' Kelly Managhan of Orlando, FL, as well as three brothers Joe Jarrell and his wife Linda of Charleston, WV, Larry Jarrell and his wife Kitty of Seth, WV and David Jarrell and his wife Pam of Daytona Beach, FL.

A lifelong animal lover, Jerry leaves behind his two beloved rescue dogs and three cats.

Jerry was a partner in the former Tag Galyean Motor Company in Charleston, WV. He had a love of Harley Davidson motorcycles and sporty cars - namely his Corvettes and his Viper.

He was a man very driven to succeed and make others want to do just as well. This motivation was contagious and inspired those around him to follow in his footsteps and do the very best for themselves. While he wasn't a boastful person, he also didn't shy away from his successes and was quite proud of them.

Jerry was also undoubtedly a Christian who felt a closeness to the Lord. He and his wife were officially members of the Daytona Beach Church of God.

Jerry's request to be cremated has been honored by his family. An informal dinner and gathering for invited friends and guests will be held in the coming days. Memorial services in both Charleston, WV and Daytona Beach, FL will be held in the spring on dates and in locations yet to be announced.

Professional services have been provided to the family with the guidance of Smith Funeral & Cremation Care of Westover.
