Mary Lou Hrdlicka

December 14, 1936 ~ February 5, 2018 (age 81)

Mary Lou Bishop DeVall Hrdlicka, age 81, of Morgantown, passed away at home, in her sleep, Monday evening, February 5, 2018  

She was born December 14, 1936 in Kingwood, WV, the oldest daughter of the late Gordon and Lula (Blosser) Bishop.  

Mary Lou traveled extensively throughout her life. She resided for a time in France, Germany, South Korea, Oklahoma, Texas, and for the last 33 years in Morgantown. Mary Lou loved Jesus, life, people and the many little dogs she nurtured over the years.

She is survived by three of her six brothers, Douglas, Russell and Melvin Bishop; six of her seven sisters, Linda King, Marty Moore, Elizabeth “Libby” Wiles. Beverly Croft, Lavonne Sylvester and Shelba Fullmer; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her former husband and caretaker, CW2 Robert Hrdlicka, USA Ret.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Dayton, Gordon, Jr. and Tracy Bishop; one sister, Patty Zeigler; and her first husband, SFC Denzil DeVall.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 2-5 PM at the Mt. Morris American Legion Post 992, assisted by the Post's Auxiliary, located at 319 Mount Morris Rd., Mt. Morris, PA 15349. All of Mary Lou's family, friends, and acquaintances are invited for this event.

Her inurnment will take place at 3 PM on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood, with a service officiated by Pastor Ernie Rowan.
