Reynolds Burton Gall, age 92, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 9, 2019 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Jim and Rita Christopher in Morgantown. 

He was born November 7, 1926 in Grafton, WV, the son of the late Wayne and Lillian (McCartney) Gall. 

Survivors include his two daughters, Helen Baker of Morgantown, and Rita and Jim Christopher of Morgantown with whom he currently made his home; four grandchildren, Jamie Christopher, Michael Law, Deanna Gerlick and Christy Mayfield; four great-grandchildren, Darcy Luchoff, Joey Luchoff , Josie Law and Logan Mayfield; his sister, Shirley Hovatter of Florida several nieces and nephews; his "Sweetie",  Mary and her family, and good friends Tom and Tammy Barnhouse.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Tansill Gall in 2004; and a brother, Charles Gall.

Reynolds served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He was employed by West Virginia University where he retired as a video technician after 40 years of service. He was a member of the 7th WV Infantry Muzzle Loading Team and traveled with them to many events over the course of several years.

He enjoyed camping and was an avid reader who could probably tell you a little bit everything.  

Friends may join the family to honor Reynolds's life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown on Tuesday, February 12th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, Feb. 13th from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Dan Meadows. He will be laid to rest with his wife Martha at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown, where full military honors will be accorded.

Mr. Gall's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to everyone at Amedisys Hospice, nurses and home health aides who provided comfort and care to him during his final months.
