Thomas Lee Everly

January 9, 1934 ~ June 4, 2018 (age 84)

Thomas Lee Everly, age 84, of Maidsville, passed away Monday morning, June 4, 2018 at his residence.

Born January 9, 1934 in Morgantown, he was a son of the late Charles Guy Everly and the late Emma Jane (Cole) Everly.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Louise Jordan Everly; two children, Thomas Guy Everly and his wife Cindy Lea of Morgantown, and Cynthia Fern Everly of Mt. Hope, WV; his grandchildren, Ashley Jeannette Summers of Morgantown and Rachel Nicole Mitchell and her husband David of Maidsville; two great-grandsons, Brayden Wayne Summers and Cedar Thomas Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, William Elmer Everly and his wife Virginia, and a brother-in-law, Bill Jones.

Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked for several years in the Maintenance Department of West Virginia University in many capacities. He was a member of the Joseph W. Summers Masonic Lodge #173, as well as the Canyon Senior Citizens where he enjoyed going to their meetings and dinners. His hobbies also included hunting, fishing, and reading - particularly books on history and those pertaining to the Civil War..

At his request, there will be no public services. To honor his memory and in lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice in his name.
