Dolores Lee Donovan Obituary (1931

Dolores Lee Donovan, age 86, formerly of Morgantown, passed away Sunday evening, April 22, 2018 at Bayview Health Care Center of Waterford, CT. She was born August 29, 1931 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late William and Grace (Hull) Wolfe. Survivors include her children, Judy Garvey and her husband Joe of Morgantown, Patty Staten and her husband Tim of Houston, TX, Debbie Messier and her husband Alan of Waterford, CT and Brad McCrobie of Waterford, CT; her grandchildren Joe Williams, Taylor Melton, Bobbie Rose, George Rose, Jody Summerfield and Sondra Breslin; 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Donovan; a son, John R. Rose; sisters Julia Rodgers, Irene Coleman, and Martha Marple, and brothers James and William Wolfe. In her earlier years, Dolores worked at the former Sterling Faucet and Comuntzis Restaurant. She enjoyed gardening and Bingo. Friends may join Doloress family to honor her life and legacy at Smith Funeral Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 12 Noon until 1:45 PM, at which time a brief service will be held in the funeral home officiated by her son-in-law, Alan Messier, Deacon of Groton Baptist Church in Groton, CT. Following the funeral service, Mrs. Donovan will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
