Dolores “Midge” Rowan Obituary (1938

Dolores Gena Castelli Rowan, better known as Midge, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. Midge was born on April 3, 1938 in Morgantown, WV. She was the daughter of the late Sarah and Orlando Castelli. She was preceded in death by her husband Arlen W. Rowan (Arch) in 1982. Later, she lived with her life friend, Eugene Cool. Dolores is survived by two sons, Arlen Rowan Jr. (Dude) and his wife Cindy, and Michael Rowan and his wife Kathy. She also had six grandchildren Anthony Rowan, Shon Rowan, Sarah Rowan Giosi, Mandy Sypolt Schroyer, Lyndsay Sypolt Ramsey and Kristian Rowan; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Mary Francis Castelli Fumich (Toots). Dolores is also preceded in death by brothers Lee, Albert, Charles, and William Castelli. The family wishes to acknowledge the love and help provided by Karen Mayle, who provided endless care during Midge's time of illness. There will be a casual celebration of life on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Stepping Stones from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to American Cancer Society.
