Cheyanne Nicole Huffman, age 13, of Slanesville, WV passed away Wednesday morning , May 16, 2018 at WVU Medicine Childrens of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, following a hard-fought struggle with brain cancer with her family at her side. Cheyanne was born September 14, 2004 in Winchester, VA and is the daughter of Richard Travis Huffman of Florida, Sheena Nicole (Ratcliff) Huffman of Slanesville, WV and the step-daughter of Brian Jones, also of Slanesville. In addition to her parents and step-father, Cheyanne is survived by her two siblings, Colin Toothman and Cayne Shingleton; her step-brother, Landen Jones; maternal grandparents Arson Michael Ratcliff and Renee Helene Ratcliff; paternal grandmother Donna Huffman; maternal great-grandparents Dolores Klimas, and William and Judith Holbrook; and several aunts, uncles and cousins including Shannon Ratcliff and her daughter, Morgan. Cheyanne was finishing her seventh grade year as a student at Capon Bridge Middle School. She enjoyed social networking and all things internet, as well as swimming, watching TV, board games, riding ATVs with her brother and spending time with her friends. In accordance with the wishes of the family, all services will be privately held.
