Lindsey Olivia Hudson, age 37, of Morgantown and Scarboro, WV, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 5, 2020 at her temporary residence in Morgantown after a long illness, and in the presence of her loving family.
She was born January 29, 1983 in Lexington, KY, a daughter of Larry and Cora Jean (Gross) Hudson of Scarboro, WV.
In addition to her parents, Lindsey is survived by her children Madison Taylor Giles and Hudson Morgan Giles; a sister, Taletha Reed and her husband Mike; three nephews and niece, Mikey Reed, McKenzie Reed, Christian Reed and Zander Hudson Yoder; her fiancé Aaron Flint, and her former spouse, Cecil Dale Giles; and a very special first cousin, Peyton Bowling.
Lindsey was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and attended the Carlisle First Church of God. She loved going shopping and growing flowers.
Lindsey did her best to inspire everyone around her. She never met a stranger. Even in the face of her illness, she tried to make everyone around her a better person by keeping her positive attitude and a smile on her face.
Lindsey’s wishes to be cremated are being honored by her family.
A memorial service to honor her life and legacy will be held at the Carlisle First Church of God, 36 Sanger Rd., Oak Hill on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Richard Allen, assisted by Pastor Melvin Adkins, and with Mike Bone, special friend of the family, offering words of comfort.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church,
Her family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center at WVU J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for their care, concern and love shown to Lindsey throughout her illness.
